About the author:
Kimberly Gordon is a children's book author and illustrator committed to sharing stories that glorify youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.
She spent most of her youth looking forward to being an adult, getting a job, and having her own money to pay for the things she wanted. This was before the internet and cell phones, so she spent her nights and weekends running around outside of the house with friends. Some times they would try to make their own money, and sold candy bars, lemonade, or cookies door to door.
After graduating form Simmons College in Boston and studying creative writing at Harvard and Columbia, Kimberly entered the work force and climbed the corporate ladder to management positions in fortunate 500 companies.
About the Illustrator:
Virginia based Multimedia artist Jasmine Mills is best known for her versatility and use of color practicing a wide range of figurative and abstract oils and acrylics and high detail, high contrast Airbrush pieces. “Art to me is the most pure form of expression. Creation of something that was once intangible and bringing it to a physical plane. It is said that God created us in his own image, with that giving us the gift of creation itself.”
With her emphasis on bold colors in different materials and mediums she creates fantasy and whimsy while some of her other pieces have a more profound meaning. Jasmine has multiple fine art pieces contracted for licensing, illustrates for many children’s books and travels locally for Gallery shows and artisan fairs. She spends most of her time creating in her in home studio.
